Membership

HySafe Membership is open to any institution or company who supports the purposes of the association.

HySafe is the strongest group globally in the field of hydrogen safety with available experts from more than 60 institutions.

All members are regularly updated with the latest information regarding hydrogen safety issues, including events, courses, projects, mishaps, research findings, standards, legislation, and risk assessment tools.

Hydrogen safety education and training: HySafe members offer educational and training courses, with stipends available for participants.

Member-only discounts: Reduced fees for participation in ICHS, benchmarking exercises, and printed association publications.

Conference and courses

  • Members receive priority access to the biennial International Conference on Hydrogen Safety (ICHS). For more information about the ICHS and the Research Priorities Workshop (RPW), please visit the events page.
  • HySafe members offer educational courses for PhD students, post-docs, research staff, lecturers, and industry professionals, supporting skill development in hydrogen safety. HySafe supports stipends for participants in these courses.
  • HySafe contributed to establishing the first hydrogen safety engineering curriculum and supported the European Technical School for Hydrogen and Fuel Cells under the H2FC Infrastructure project.
  • HySafe also organises special sessions at major hydrogen and fuel cell conferences, such as the World Hydrogen Energy Conference (WHEC), to present the latest developments and priorities in hydrogen safety.

Membership is open exclusively to organisations with an interest in hydrogen safety. All fee-paying members get an equal vote at the Annual General Meeting. Have your say in the association and its future.

Membership is not open to individuals.
