Dr Laura Hill is Project Manager in the Safety, Codes and Standards (SCS) Program at the Department of Energy’s Fuel Cell Technologies Office, managing such activities as the Hydrogen Safety Panel, quantitative risk assessment, fuel quality and hydrogen behaviour R&D.
Prior to becoming a permanent member of the SCS program, Dr Hill was a Science and Technology Policy Fellow in the Fuel Cell Technologies Office from 2014 to 2016.
Dr Hill received her PhD in 2014 in Materials Science and Engineering from Clemson University, where her research focus was Novel Light-Emissive Yttrium-Based Nanoparticles and Composites, developing novel materials for LED applications. She received her undergraduate degree in Ceramic and Materials Engineering from Clemson University, in 2008.
